Terms of use

Last updated: 3 November 2026

These terms govern the use of the RunTogether website and app. By creating an account, you accept them.

1. The service

RunTogether connects people who want to run together: creating and finding runs, signing up, group chat, reminders, XP and badges, and pro accounts for running professionals.

RunTogether is a connection tool: we don’t organize or supervise runs, and we don’t check participants’ identity or level.

2. Account

Your account is created with Strava, Apple or Google. You must be at least 18 to use the service.

You agree to provide accurate information (including your gender, which gives access to women-only runs) and not to impersonate anyone. You are responsible for the use of your account.

3. Runs and safety

Running is a physical activity that involves risks. You take part in runs at your own risk, making sure your health allows it and that the pace and distance suit your level.

A run’s organizer agrees to describe the session honestly (place, time, distance, pace, route) and to tell participants if it’s cancelled. This doesn’t make them responsible for participants’ safety.

We recommend meeting in public places, telling someone close and following traffic rules.

4. Community rules

You may not post or send:

  • hateful, discriminatory, violent, sexual or harassing content,
  • fake runs, spam or unauthorized advertising (outside pro accounts),
  • other people’s personal information without their consent,
  • any illegal content or content infringing third-party rights.

Anyone can report a run. Ambassadors and our team can hide a run, and we can suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules.

5. XP, levels and badges

XP, levels, badges and the related perks have no monetary value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and may change. We may remove XP earned abusively (for example by confirming runs that didn’t happen). XP is only awarded for a run that matches an activity recorded on your linked Strava account: without a linked Strava account, runs earn no XP.

6. Pro accounts

Pro accounts are for running professionals and associations (shops, brands, companies, clubs, coaches…). They are subject to approval and may be refused or suspended. When a paid subscription is offered, it will be governed by separate terms of sale.

A paid coach must hold the qualifications required by law (in France, the sports educator professional card).

7. Content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of the content you post (titles, descriptions, messages). You allow RunTogether to show it to other users as part of the service.

The RunTogether brand, logo, design and code belong to us. Maps use data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

8. Liability

We do our best to keep the service available and reliable, but cannot guarantee it. RunTogether is not liable for the runs themselves, participants’ behaviour, or damage related to sport, within the limits allowed by law.

9. Personal data

How we process your data is described in our privacy policy.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or delete an account that breaches these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. In case of a significant change, you’ll be told in the app.
